Nikki McDaniel – Postpartum Doula
I am Nikki McDaniel, a wife, mom, and postpartum doula in Northern Colorado. When I am not supporting a family, I am spending time with mine. I have two beautiful kiddos, an amazing highschool sweetheart of a husband, and our sweet fur pup.
I come from two cultures that value family (spanish/filipino) and I really bring that into my work. I nurture not just the birthing person, but the family as a whole. I found my passion for this work since the birth of my first child. I became enamored by pregnancy, birth, and life after a baby. I started my doula journey after struggling with lack of support and information postpartum, and knowing that no one should feel that way. I decided that I would be there to support those families looking for a bigger, stronger village.
I love giving families knowledge and confidence to strive in their journey’s and make that postpartum period one to enjoy. I will be there to answer questions, let you sleep, cook you a meal, play with your other children, and make space for you. I am not just your doula now, but I will always be your doula.
Tara Mathewson – Birth Doula
Hi, I’m Tara! As a mother of three, I know how transformative and impactful birth is for a family. It was my own birth and postpartum periods that fueled my love for supporting families as a doula. Before birth work, I supported families from all walks of life in the social work field. The empathy, compassion and community needed in the social work field transfers perfectly into my work as a doula.
As your doula, my goal is that you feel safe, empowered, educated and comfortable throughout your journey. I foster a calming energy in your birth space, and am there to support you the whole way. In addition, I bring years of experience and the tools to help aid in a positive birth experience. I focus on building strong bonds with the families I work with and recognize how sacred birth is.
I support all births, birth preferences and understand the importance of a supportive birth team! I continue to actively advocate for changing the current views and practices of postpartum care. That’s why I’m so passionate in helping bridge the gap from pregnancy to postpartum. It is important to me that I help transition families effectively, and with love and support.
Ashlyn Baird – RN-C, IBCLC, SBD
I am a wife, mother of 3, RN, IBCLC and bereavement doula. Just over a year ago, after 8 years of labor and delivery experience, I decided to resign from hospital nursing and focus on my family. That didn’t last long, as I also decided to continue to pursue my passion and take the IBCLE to get certified!!
I breastfed all 3 of my children, and even though 2 out of 3 of them I was an L&D nurse I still went to see a Lactation Consultant. Each time was different, each baby was different. I like to refer to it as a “breastfeeding journey”, because that is what it is! Some journeys are more challenging than others, and that is why I am here to help. I want to make it less challenging and more enjoyable!!
I look forward to meeting you and your little one and making this a journey to remember fondly!
Chloe McCarthy – Postpartum Doula
Hello, my name is Chloe (she/her)! I am a mom of two, a wife and postpartum doula supporting families in Northern Colorado. I have two children in Elementary School who keep life fun and active with lots of time enjoying the beautiful Colorado outdoors.
After experiencing my own birth, postpartum journey and working for a health education company, I found a passion and need for postpartum support. As your doula I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to make the best decisions for your family. It is my joy to be there so you can get some sleep, make your family a meal or meal prep, assist with siblings, answer questions, and provide knowledge for your family to thrive.
I support all the diverse family structures and understand the importance of giving you the confidence to write your own postpartum story. I look forward to meeting your family in this next beautiful stage of your life!
